
Come with us and discover insight and inspiration through the ancient art of storytelling with naturalist, artist and performer Brian "Fox" Ellis in 'Adventures with John James Audubon' Thursday, February 4th, 2010 at the Anita Purves Nature Center. The Champaign County Audubon Society invites you to this unique family event as you learn about bird migration, bird behavior, and local birds in a fun, interactive way. Brian "Fox" Ellis, award-winning author of 'The Web at Dragonfly Pond', brings history, ecology, art and literature to life in his portrayal of John James Audubon, legendary for his paintings, which for the first time depicted birds in natural habitats and poses. Gather round for an captivating and enchanting experience as you listen to the tales of Audubon¹s travels and discoveries across North America. This humorous, animated program is free, 7 - 8 pm, and recommended for children ages 5 and up, with ages 14 and under accompanied by an adult.
